About the practice

We take great pride in our relaxed surgery atmosphere, providing current magazines and a television to distract the more anxious patients. Our team of caring and efficient dentists, nurses and reception staff are here to give their advice and assistance. We aim to treat everyone as individuals – not just patients – and always have time to listen to your questions and comments. Our comprehensive range of leaflets cover the areas we think will be of most use to you – but if you need any additional information please ask at reception and we will be only too happy to assist.

Prevention is better than cure.

Preventative dentistry is all about keeping your own teeth. At East Mews we are dedicated to preventative measures and will help you to establish and maintain healthy teeth and gums. We have a hygienist at the Practice who is available to ensure continued oral health. We also routinely check the soft tissues for any abnormalities.

Children are special patients.

It is most important that children visit the dentist from an early age to help them acclimatise to the dental surgery and surroundings. There are children’s toys and books to help them feel happy and relaxed and every care is taken to make their visit enjoyable. We firmly believe that educating children and their parents in diet, oral hygiene and prevention will give them the best possible start to their dental lives. This philosophy has been proved correct as, over the last 25 years, the vast majority of our young patients reach adulthood without any fillings. All children are assessed for the correction of irregular teeth as they develop (Orthodontics).
